Sankeys Manchester also has a relatively new addition. Spektrum, which is more or less a separate club, was once known as the second room. Sankeys reopened its doors in 2007 after a major refit. Still housed in the unique two hundred year-old Beehive Mill in the Ancoats area of the city, the newly renovated Sankeys attempts to give the clubber a unique experience with much-improved decor and state of the at light and sound equipment. Sankeys is split into three areas - the bar, the basement and the boutique - each offering a different flavour of the unique Sankeys vibe.The Bar acts as the entrance to Sankeys and with its own DJ booth, bar, low level lighting and relaxed atmosphere it’s a perfect introduction to your Sankeys experience. The basement is Sankeys main event with one of the country’s best sound systems and a 500 person capacity. The Boutique offers an alternative Sankeys atmosphere with all white decor and slightly different music options to the main club. Sankeys Boutique is a great place to just chill out and take advantage of the fully serviced bar.Having been voted number 17 in the ‘Top 50 Nightclubs in the World’ poll by a panel of DJs, Sankeys was 3rd best out of the UK clubs.
